Great Oakley & District U3A started up in May 2013 and is still relatively small with about 185 members and nineteen interest groups, but with more on the way. Our main meetings are held monthly at Great Oakley Village Hall, Corby, starting at 2pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month. There is an annual membership fee of £24.00 (2026-27 for new members with a reduction of £4 if members do not want the national U3A magazine (which is available on the U3A National website) delivered to them. The interest groups meet in various smaller venues around Corby and there is usually a small charge at each group meeting to cover the cost of the hall/refreshments depending on where they meet. The movement is supported by its national organisation, the Third Age Trust.
